Clarinex
Clarinex is an antihistamine that is used to treat the symptoms of hay fever (sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes). It is also helpful in treating hives and associated itching of the skin.
How does Clarinex work?
Histamine receptors are blocked by Clarinex. The actual release of histamine from mast cells is not prevented by Clarinex however it prevents the binding to its receptors. Due to this the release of other allergy chemicals is prevented and the blood supply to the area is increased, and also provides relief from the typical symptoms of nasal allergies such as hayfever.
The symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria can also be relived with the help of Clarinex. This is a chronic itchy rash, which is alike nettle rash, but with no obvious cause. When the actions of histamine are blocked by Clarinex it helps to relieve the itching and reduces the rash associated with this condition.
Dosage:
Clarinex should be taken by mouth with a glass of water, anytime during the day with or without food.
If u miss a dose?
If u miss a dose of Clarinex take it as soon as you remember, incase if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then, skip the missed one and take the next regular dose. Avoid taking a double dose of Clarinex.
Symptoms of excess dose of Clarinex.

Storage:
Clarinex should be stored at a room temperature.
